What is FlashEff?

FlashEff is a Flash CS3 AS3 component (by JumpeyeComponents) created for easing the animation process. It is also a collection of over 100 patterns that enable cool animations and interactive actions on visual objects and texts. FlashEff can be used/customized from both, the visual interface and API.

How does FlashEff Effect Flash Designers?

FlashEff is a great tool for designers who want to get complex and nice looking animations without the hassle of using the Flash timeline or ActionScript. You can build animations using textfields, MovieClips, and images that can be very easily updated and modified.

Is FlashEff Free?

If you’re even a just little bit excited about AS3, then you need to leave right now and head over to Grant Skinner’s generously donated slide deck from his Introductory AS3 Workshop.  Grant’s slide deck includes 165 slides and they are filled with useful code snippets.

After going through these slides, you will walk away feeling much more confident about AS3 and migrating over than you did prior to reading them.  (Well at least I did)  Check it out for yourself.

Thibault Imbert has released his book Pratique d’ ActionScript 3 for free. Over 1100 pages of pratical ActionScript 3.0 and 21 chapters of content that covers almost every aspect of practical AS3 programming, from What’s ActionScript 3.0 to Final Application.

This is a great free ebook available for all French users, however, an English version is not available at the moment. Sorry, English users hopefully one will be up soon!
