Mashups are AFComponents way of combining several of their AS3 components to create an application. There are many fantastic Flash components available on the web, however, it can be a little hard to picture some of them being used as real world applications. AFComponents helps by creating these mashups to show their users that more can be done with their components.

The Virtual Space is an AS3 component that can be used to create virtual-tour type visualizations very easily. Simply specify 6 images to be used for top, bottom, left, right, front, and back. Then, position the camera, set the initial view, and specify interaction parameters.

If you are not familiar with this UMAP, it is scalable component model that allows you to create rich maps with interactive data layers. Its features are impressive and it now even supports Microsoft's Virtual Earth along with Google Maps.
